Using the Crest Creator, users make their own crest by picking from a wide selection of colors, materials, and decorative prints, then Email it to themselves.
A 32″ ELO touch monitor invites users to build a crest from a variety of options and museum-specific branding.
A preview of the current crest sits in the center of the screen. Six categories are presented to the user by way of buttons on intuitive sliders. Tapping a button within a slider instantly alters the crest preview in the center of the screen. Editable features include the shield shape, trim, charge (iconography), pattern, and tinctures (colors).
Later on, I was asked to add even more charges to the app, which I happily did in an update that also included more tinctures, shield shapes, and patterns.
